Dr Eirini Trompouki

Dr Eirini Trompouki is Research Director at Inserm and was awarded a Chaire of Excellence from the Labex SIGNALIFE. She joined the IRCAN (Institute for Research on Cancer & Aging, Nice) as a new PI.

Previously group leader at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, Germany, Eirini TROMPOUKI is a brilliant researcher, at the crossroads of multiple fields. Her contributions have blown open the doors for new research in fields as diverse as hematopoiesis, aging, cancer and epigenetics. Her current research is focused on  the existence of epigenetic memory after serial chemotherapeutic injections in an inflammatory or reduced inflammatory setting (missing the innate immune sensor MDA5) in hematopoietic stem cells and their niche and how this simulates physiological aging. Her seminar will be about:

RNA sensors in development, regeneration and aging
